After many years of dedicated service and impactful contribution, Andrew Evans has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of VM Finance Limited. Andrew succeeds Leighton Smith, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer and has transitioned into a Group leadership role.

Since joining the organisation in 2018, and most recently serving as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Andrew has played a central role in shaping VM Finance’s UK business development strategy, drawing on extensive experience in international banking and finance. His relationship-led approach has strengthened client partnerships and reinforced VM Finance’s position as a trusted financing partner for developers and homeowners alike.

Andrew’s appointment as CEO reflects his strategic insight, operational discipline, and consistent focus on delivering value through tailored financing solutions. He is well positioned to lead VM Finance into its next phase of growth.

In parallel, Leighton Smith has assumed the role of Group Chief Diaspora Markets Officer for the VM Financial Group. In this expanded role, he will further deepen engagement with the global Jamaican diaspora across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, while strengthening connections between international members, clients, and economic opportunities in Jamaica.

The VM Financial Group continues to explore opportunities to expand and strengthen its international footprint in line with member needs and market demand, while remaining focused on delivering meaningful impact through investment, homeownership, and long-term financial inclusion.
